Taking school violence-

And turns it into a funny satire of the second world war. Ah, what a way to sugarcoat the subject matter, by showing the bullied kid killing not his classmate, but some Nazis that just happened to show up in their place. As far as the movie went, rather amusing, and graphic to please the Newgrounders. The graphics had the simplistic clean look to it, which was good, but theres that little problem of the characters all looking alike. But oh well. Sound effects were appropriate, chainsaw here, scream there. Looked good, and its your first submission, at least that i can see, so you started on the right track. Keep 'em up, and I'd like to see more of your efforts. So far so good.

Arg! Rush!!! Take it away!

The movie itself, well, fairly amusing. The trees talking 1337 smack on the squirell was odd, as was the spastic dancing portion. Then the trees attacked and got annihilated by the random weapons that showed. It was a good kind of random. But that music... Rush... oh God why? Well, I didn't dock any points from your score, just i really can't stand Geddy Lee and his soprano vocals. Well, neverminding that Rush happens to be one of the worst bands ever, the movie was interesting for being an unfinished idea. Good graphics, somewhat funny story, but thats about it.

Pretty good short

Yeah, hes really got some issues with cigarettes. Therapy could be in order. Well, for a school project you did seem to spend some time on this. The graphics are really good, and the background ambience was don conviencingly enough. Walking animation was done well, and so were the voices. Good punchline, as far as I know I've never seen a cigarette get impaled before. That'll teach those dirty smokers! If this were turned into a real web series rather than a 27 second school project that'd be great. From what you've shown here you can do a lot with flash. Just its only a short and for school at that. I'd like to see you do a movie where you cut loose. Everything looks fine on this end, though, so good work on it, and hope to see more of your efforts again.

Very good art and animation!

The graphics were amazing. Just by that this is front page material. But thats before I get to the rest of it. Inspiration from a strip club. Yep, good humor all around. Although the audio was a bit grainy, the voice work was really good. The only negative thing I can bring up about this was the backgrounds. The band posters were really out of place with the rest of the well drawn objects. A minor complaint. This is a great band parody. In fact i know a few people who act almost like that. But then who doesn't. Very nice movie here. Hopefully we will get to see more of the band, and listen in on more of their philosophy and tour stories. Keep it up!

good all around the board

The art style is splended, each individaul movie is well done in thier own right. Just the stock licensed music kinda blows. The first one was the most basically told story, but it still had quite a lot of charm to it. Characters were cute, and well drawn and animated, and had a lot of personable charm to them. The premise of a mugger or whatever interrupting the date, and the ensueing fight scene was incredibly well done. The second movie was the surreal one. The dinosaur type thing getting the crap beat out of it, being thrown through the air for almost a minute... interesting stuff. The interlude was nice, then it was back to the band at large. The third movie was a bit of a combination of straight and surreal. The shortest one, but it was still quite interesting. At least the pervert got what he deserved. All together the three movies makes for one very nice big movie. The three movies individually would have been great on their own, but even better as a collab. Would love to see another chapter in this series. It is really great stuff. My only complaint is if you do continue thses stories, not to let the quality go to crap. Otherwise, keep up the awesome work!

Sweet!

Bout time you submitted something else! This was, as, before, irreverent and hilarious. Good style on this one. And as for the monty python and terry gilliam fell, you naled it. Uh, I'd think up more to say about it, but its late. My only problem is it took you this long to submit anything. I remeber when Why A Squirrel Shouldn't came out... damn I've been here too long. Okay, I've went way off topic there. Oh, whats to say? Crazy, nutty, wow. Good work with this. Now try not to spend 3 years making your next movie! Seriously!

Looks very slick

But all there was to be seen was a car at a couple different angles and a couple alien ships, while a small bit of Linkin Park played. Meh. Could have grabbed my attention if it offered at least some simbalance of story, plot, action, anything. Just a small teaser I know, but I didn't get me pumped, which is a shame cause the graphics at elast looked nice, so I know you have spent some time on this. Well, theres always part 2 to redeem yourself with.

Wow!

That was actually very interesting to watch. Was expecting some worthless video of some kid falling down while shreiking at the camera. But the animation blended in with the live action looked pretty good. Especially the boss alien thing whatever it was. Amusing to no end. Your little brother has some skills. Only unfortuneate thing is the very small video screen. Due to size issues it holds the movie back for being so tiny. Regardless, its a good movie all around.

Song just makes me think of Fight Club

Finally got around to reviewing this. The only problem I have is the music doesn't quite click for me. That might be because I've seen Fight Club too many times to not connect the Pixies to the movie. Anyway, went off track. Great art style, using only the few shades of gray to detail the characters and enviroment. Visually everything fits. The story itself punctuates itself at the very end. Though it could have been guessed what was going to happen, still managed to illict a response out of me. The industrial world has many possiblities. Don't lose sight of the theme and keep the visual quality up, and you can take this places.

Caffiene is a good thing indeed

World peace could be achieved by Wednesday if we all just grabbed a pot of coffee and downed it all at once. At last someone has adressed this issue, and maybe others will start following suit, and we can all live in peace forever twitching and getting 15 minutes of sleep a night! The animation of this was great, much time was spent on it I can tell. Its great to see a submission that isn't afraid to actually use animation instead of detailed stills. Good humor with the frantic computer useage after the coffee. Just struck me as odd hearing SOAD during a caffiene rush. Well, if this review made any sense, I totally apologize, I wasn't trying to. Only thing i could say to work on is the backgrounds. Thats pretty much all I got, good movie.

NXR responds:

I think it's better with frame by frame animation, even though it's hard and take time. I didn't think so much about the backgrounds, but I will try to do it from now on. Thanks for the review!
