[Riot Control]

Got its highs and lows

I really dug the part right after the opening, had to have been the best part of the song for me. But then I got kinda bored with the DNB interlude that ended the song. Just think it went on too long and made the song go out on a low note. The bass is a bit too 'floppy' for my tastes, and I think I may be the first and only person to refer to bass as ever being floppy... The voice samples just didn't do anything for me, I was more interested in the telescoping bass whirl. Not too bad of a track, just some things brought it down a little.

Good quasi-loop

I think this really deserves to be listened to and downloaded, cause it sounds like a very versatile track..I imagine anything from title screens to menus to certain action sequences. The melody of the song, and the overall mood sounds low key, but isn't background music. Its hard to explain, plus I'm drunk. Good use of bass and drums, really fits the melody. Just if the AP didn't seem to loathe samples and loops, like the header states is the God given purpose, then I'd trust that this would catch fire instantly. Good size for flash movies, and offers just enough variety. Good, track, very good track.

Sounds like the synth beeps took over

The song clashes a little at first when the melodies overlay, but I got used to it. Good contrast and yet the two themes overlap well. Wished I could have heard the outro bit a little more, seems like you didn't know what to do with it and threw a few seconds of it on at the end. I'd say this way trancey in nature, but guess it was easier putting it in Misc. I don't really have anything bad to say about this song. As much as i'd like to give at least some limited advise on how or what to improve on, I can't think of anything. Well, another pointless review it looks like. Anyway, good, functional, and original.

Clashes... hmm maybe a little bit but I thought they blended nicely. Oh well, myself 1 year ago is a huge diference from myself today, if you can tell by listening to the music I'm writing now. Yea, like I said to third_nut, I just tacked on the end. Pointless review, eh? Pointless response.

[XXX and the Orgasm Addict]

Actually rather funny

Sounds like a voice actress desperately trying to get the job. I thought the song would have been better if the voice sampls weren't so loud. The piano synth in the middle of the song was good. Just that whenever the samples would start playing I couldn't help but laugh. Interesting, I'll give it that. This should find its way into many a dressup game.

[Lobotomy]

Got an element of danger in it

Sounds like this could be used for an escape scene. I don't know where the name Lobotomy comes from. The kicks held the song together well, and the melody was intriguing. Only the song itsekf was a bit slow. Think it would have worked better as a loop. The song has good intentions, just doesn't give enough.

[Dirge In A Minor]

Haunting

Was half expecting for this to cheese out and turn into a techno dance track, but turns out this is serious. Wouldn't think of hearing this in the AP, but here it is. Good use of synth, not out of place from any professionally done synth track. I'm quite surprized this hasn't been used in any submissions. But as far as being a funeral dirge, it doesn't seem all that solem. If it were fully orchestrated I'd listen to it while I write in my classical playlist. Its good, very good, I'll give you that.

Makes the club go 'huh?'

I was half wanting to dance to this, and half questioning how anyone could dance to this. Its got an infectious melody and beat, but even for trance this is weird... I suppose when the aliens come to invade we can play this for them and distract them to dance while we snipe them from afar. Thats about as much sense I could make with this review. Its technically very good, but very hard to dance to without questioning why people get nostalgic for the 80's and why does my hair feels like grass clippings. Arg, now its got me being weird... well, I liked it, but now I think I need a nap...

This song ain´t made to dance to, but if the aliens like that, maybe we humans canl learn something from them? :D

[Sack Disaster Times Two Style]

Good rap

Interesting subject matter, and it goes into song during the chorus. Acoustic rap rock? Good lyrics, well written and amusing. You two guys really did a great track here. The guitar playing was pleasant, and you didn't miss a beat. Overly catchy, but the only problem I see with this is who's actually gonna use this for their flash movie? Doesn't matter, its still a great track, one of the best on Newgrounds.

I know it won't get into any flash movies. I just uploaded the audio because I realized that I'm almost level 10 and I've never contributed anything to newgrounds. I thought it was kinda sad, and i didn't wanna learn flash. Thanks for the review though. I really appreciate it.

Good multi purpose music

This could be used as gameplay music for an RPG or menu music, or possibly credits music. Seems versatile enough. Well, thats just what I see with it. Has a good heavy but not overpowering beat, and the melody is a bit low key, but it doesn't lose the focus. Nice use of counterpoints to the theme. If only there was a bit more variety. But good track none the less.

Good playing

But the sound quality brings it down. I know you probably played up to a microphone, but still it kinda bothers me. This would sound great if you had a better microphone, so thats my real complaint. And you played some offbeat notes, but still, this represented some genuine playing skill. Good feathering on the chords. Just that slight problem with the sound quality... sigh. But all in all a very good track, an easy ten if better quality.

Actually, i played it through a 4 track, that's the problem, lol. The sound quality I try to do my best with. It is a jam, so sometimes a bad note shows up, but I move around it as best as i can. I actually plugged straight through the 4 track, but its tape, so thats the problem. Maybe someday if I have a better recorder i'll redo it. Thanks for the compliment.
