Second best random type movie I've seen

Very creative and very well plotted out. Though its random it doesn't completey ignore theme. And its not like those 'random' movies that are nothing more than squggly lines on a screen blowing up while hitlers head dances. This is a random that actually had thought put into it. And for being random, it was actually random too. Thats something missing from some other efforts. The graphics were all around good, and all authors had a distinct style, but didn't clash with the others. SOAD was of course an odd choice for the music, but it was random! Plenty of humor to go around, such as the never ending box, or the stick figures huddling around the lava lamp only to be shot all at once. Not gonna say much about what happened as a service to anyone who may read this before watching. Basically this was a near perfect random that was just that, and not sloppy and half assed like is the norm. Goods stuff there.

Wow, great discription haha. Thnx for the review.

Someone does like their Happy Tree Friends

The graphics were nice and well drawn, I'm guessing with a tablet. Good animation style, and as far as the actual animation goes, very well animated and done. Godd musical choices. Fit the semi-sitcom atmosphere well. Just the whole thing came off as a bit unoriginal. Its the seen it before kind of movie. It did have some opriginal ideas, just could have gone the extra mile and put it over the top as far as the ultraviolence is concerned. Cause thats this movies God given reason to be watched is to see the cute bunny eat it. The carrot landing on top of the bunny was too predictable and a bit too tame for me. Thats just me finding something to complain about for this submission. Looked great, but the content could have been better.

Now that I look at it you're right about the Happy Tree Friends thing. That wasn't even my intention.

Thanks for watching, and thank you for the feedback.

The preloader scared the crap out of me.

Thought this was going to be the dressup game. Then I thought this might be the dressup game riff. Then I actually bothered to read the authors comments. I found I liked this one better than the first one. You did the skits almost like the show did. So I'm guessin' you are likening 666pyro666 to Roger Corman. Very irrervernt humor. It goes so many places. Like the Iron Man skit. I already want to watch this again. Too much to say here. Nothing felt out of place, and you really started to flesh out the ideas. The format was great too. I still stand by what i said about the first one. Though i've already forgotten what I said, I'm sure it still applies. You kept the humor up on the riffs, thats always a good thing. Ya gotta do this as a weekly series or something, the three in front of some recent portal garbage, or even a good movie, and riff on it, and maybe a short skit. Thats just wishful thinking on my part. Anyway, good work again!

SeizureDog responds:

I should work up a format to where I can just easily pull out a movie a week of this...but man, this series is old. People loved it, but it's old.

You sure like the word "riff"...

Now why haven't I ever seen this this before?

Being that MST3K is only the greatist show ever, I never expected a Newgrounds user to actually do a parody of it. Was just a bit different than what I thought it would be. Humor was good, and the delivery kept up at a fairly good speed. I just thought that it'd have been cool if you took actual movies from the portal and riffed on them. Unoriginal sure, and maybe a bit insensitive. But if I ever finish a project i'd totally let someone riff on it akin to MST3K, provided the humor was actually good and not just 'it sucks lol rofl!' I've really went off track on this review. For what there was, stick figure running around in the flash workspace, it was interesting. Just the riffed movie itself could almost stand a chance passing judgement. But the characters and the riffing completed it. Don't got much bad to say about it, other than this could have made a great series. Oh well, still it was amusing, good work and all that.

SeizureDog responds:

Well if I had taken actual movies then I probably wouldn't be showing them bad movies now whould I? That was the point of the original show anyways :P

Glad you liked it though.

Okay, just to get it out of the way here...

This isn't the worst thing on Newgrounds. Sure, the effort put into it was scant at best, but on a technical level it still functioned. I've seen flashing screens pass judgement, and white screens with the words 'vote fifen' do the same. At least you could sync up the music to play as long as the 'strategy guide' did. Yeah, this really sucks and shouldn't have made it passed the portal, but it still ain't the worst thing on here. Not that it matters, i just got curious to see what the lowest scoring thing on here was. At least you are getting attention out of it. Maybe you and Piconjo can do a collab together.

ViceFullbuster responds:

good review, and no to piconjo,i dont make gay jokes about talented flash artists just cause im not as good as them in flash

Kinda like the first one

But the twist in this one was better in my opinion. Plus as it being shorter, it seemed tighter and more compact, so there was less dead space. Overall, a lot of what i said in the review of the first one still stands. But I do like this one better. And maybe this series will take off. It is getting rather interesting. And its garanteed protection points unless you stop caring about the series. Good stuff, this could be another series to watch out for.

JacklandStudios responds:

Well, Thank you for the nice words

To be honest I tought this series would be blammed without prompt...

but I think I might take all the advices and make a real series (of shorts of course) out of it

Thanks for the advices I already took note on 'em :)

Good style

Absolute first thing that struck me was the graphics. In a way it kinda reminds me of Danpaladin's style. But only vaguely. I can tell this is all your own. And those sound effects with the phone were interesting to say the least. Of course i have to raise ire about the length. All that setup and I was let down a little. This was more of a showcase of your flash abilities than anything. Though I did like the ending. Just a bit short. Oh well. I'll stop complaining about that. This being for school, I have to give you props. Good graphics and humor, nothing wrong with that.

ZekeySpaceyLizard responds:

The Hit the Nail on the Head Award goes to you!

Sweet!

Bout time you submitted something else! This was, as, before, irreverent and hilarious. Good style on this one. And as for the monty python and terry gilliam fell, you naled it. Uh, I'd think up more to say about it, but its late. My only problem is it took you this long to submit anything. I remeber when Why A Squirrel Shouldn't came out... damn I've been here too long. Okay, I've went way off topic there. Oh, whats to say? Crazy, nutty, wow. Good work with this. Now try not to spend 3 years making your next movie! Seriously!

DrMauss responds:

thanks, dude. I appreciate the comments and encouragement. bless ya'.

Caffiene is a good thing indeed

World peace could be achieved by Wednesday if we all just grabbed a pot of coffee and downed it all at once. At last someone has adressed this issue, and maybe others will start following suit, and we can all live in peace forever twitching and getting 15 minutes of sleep a night! The animation of this was great, much time was spent on it I can tell. Its great to see a submission that isn't afraid to actually use animation instead of detailed stills. Good humor with the frantic computer useage after the coffee. Just struck me as odd hearing SOAD during a caffiene rush. Well, if this review made any sense, I totally apologize, I wasn't trying to. Only thing i could say to work on is the backgrounds. Thats pretty much all I got, good movie.

NXR responds:

I think it's better with frame by frame animation, even though it's hard and take time. I didn't think so much about the backgrounds, but I will try to do it from now on. Thanks for the review!

Interesting and sometimes irratic

The stick figure at least had a personality. But gotta wait for the other fully animated characters to show up... The animator htreatening the stick figure with the eraser was amusing. But the movie was a bit on the short side. Would have been okay if there were more jokes being thrown around, but it is just getting started, so no real biggie. As it was the first episode, not a whole lot happened, just the introduction of the stick figure. Oh well, hopefully the series will pick up. Looks interesting, and could be hilarious, just needs more stuff happening.

DustbunnyPictures responds:

it will it will...

The stick gets more personality...while Jack may sound geeky now, he gets an alterego in the form of the superhero Stickman, and his voice changes and gets a bit more rugged/manly, only as Jack is he a geek.

More (and slightly better quality)stuff to come...
